How to keep your Blonde Bright!

Many of us love our blonde locks but don’t love the upkeep. The struggle to keep your blonde hair bold and bright is real. Even when you’re diligent about your blonde hair care routine, but over time, even natural elements can cause your cool tresses to become brassy, dull and feel a little bit brittle. The consistent heat from your styling tools are damaging your already frail hair strands and starting to look a little bit…..straw-like. Your platinum highlights are looking a lot more warmer, more yellow and less bright. Your hair isn’t as shiny. You go back to the salon way sooner than you wish you had to because #root and #brass and #deadends.

However, we argue that blonde hair no longer needs to be a chore! We have compiled some easy tips and tricks to follow to help maintain your brightness,  so that you can look salon fresh for longer.

Wash Hair less often

Yes, yes, we know you’ve heard it all before but washing your hair less is crucial for faux blondes. Frequent washing strips your scalp of its natural oils, which in turn stimulates additional oil production and makes you feel the need to wash it even more. Try just rinsing in the shower after a day at the beach or pool, and see if that gets rid of some extra oil. In place of regular shampoo, try INSIGHT Antioxidant Rejuvenating Mask, apply to wet hair, distributing evenly. Leave on 5/10 minutes, rinse thoroughly, this natural product protects the hair from external aggressions.

Choose colour Safe Shampoo

Experts recommend that after dyeing your hair it is essential to choose a specific shampoo for dyed hair, which will provide hydration, brightness and intensify the colour. INSIGHT Protective Shampoo is a line designed to brighten and enhance the colour, revitalizing the hair. The formulas are rich with extracts and natural oils, which protects the hair while preserving the brightness of colour. Ensuring colour lasts longer and is more resistant to washing.

Use Conditioner or Hair Mask

Professional stylists recommend alternating both products. The use of conditioning cream is mandatory to close the hair cuticle well and to better reflect the light by enhancing the brightness and enhancing the colour. You can apply hair masks for dyed hair that will enhance the colour, prolonging colour and smooth condition of the hair.

Use Anti Yellow Shampoo

In addition to using a specific shampoo for coloured hair, it is advisable to wash it with a Anti Yellow Shampoo to remove any undesired yellow and golden reflections all while enhancing and brightening grey and bleached hair to help achieve more intense brightness.

Try rinsing your hair with cool temperature water for the final rinse

One step you can add to this routine is making sure to finish off with a cold rinse each time you wash your hair. This will help keep your hair lustrous and shiny. If you think that water temperature isn’t important, think again because it actually is. If you learn how to use water of different temperatures to your favour, then it may really benefit your hair. Hot water can make your hair easy to break and weaken the hair roots.

Reduce the Heat

Try to blow-dry your hair as little as possible and give the blow dryer a break and go natural if you can. Avoid flat-irons, too, as they will do further damage to already-dry hair. Save the hot tools for special occasions and embrace your hair’s natural texture on a day-to-day basis. Try a natural hair oil to discipline frizz without heat for an effortlessly smooth undone style. When your hair is still damp reach for INSIGHT Styling oil NON OIL or liqiud crystals and distribute through your strands, —this will help to keep the frizz at bay! Then either air dry loose or style in a braid for a more controlled texture once your hair has dried.

In conclusion, follow these easy tips and tricks to help maintain your brightest,

  1. Wash hair less
  2. Make your colour last by using Colour Safe Shampoo
  3. Finish your hair wash with cold water
  4. Read the labels and avoid sulfates
  5. Don’t skip conditioning
  6. Try using an ANTI-YELLOW Shampoo
  7. Use hot tools less
  8. Deep condition your hair with hair mask

There you have it! These tips will help restore that luster to your locks, and keep your hair looking refresh and healthy! So what are you waiting for? Throw those hair worries to the wind and book that appointment today, and invest in your favourite hair staples.

How to Prevent your Hair from Tangling!

When your hair lacks moisture, it leads to friction and tension in your hair, which then cause tangles. The outer layers of your hair shaft break, which results in a rough and damaged look. Lack of hydration can also deteriorate the condition of your hair. Knotted and tangled hair doesn’t just look messy: it can also be painful and difficult to comb out, and it can lead to a great deal of breakage. There are many things that can cause tangled hair, including particular hair styles and heat products, but knots can also occur in the shower or when you dry your hair. Sleeping without braiding or tying your hair up can lead to some serious tangles. Another major no-no is going to bed with wet hair. Hair is most fragile when it is wet. It can get frizzy quickly and break easily. The tangles caused by lying down with damp hair are a nightmare as they are rigid and tough to remove.

Luckily, there are a few simple things you can do that can prevent your hair from getting tangled. Keep reading to find out what you need to do.

1. Condition Your Hair

After you shampoo, always finish with a moisture-locking conditioner, start from the ends and move upward slightly towards the scalp. Carefully run your fingers through your hair to remove all the knots, then gently comb through your tresses with a wide-toothed comb.  This will detangle your hair without breaking the strands. Leave the conditioner in for 2-3 minutes, then rinse it out. Conditioner smoothens your hair and softens dry strands effectively.

2. Moisturise hair weekly with a Hair Mask

Applying a hair mask once a week can improve your hair texture drastically. Healthy and moisturised hair is less likely to knot and tangle, so along with regular conditioning, try a weekly hair mask or deep conditioning. Hair masks will hydrate and smooth your dry cuticles, leaving your locks silky and soft. Some of the most effective ingredients that can transform your hair texture within a few weeks by using organic ingredients formulated with rich organic extracts and natural oils. We recommend to apply INSIGHT Protective Mask to wet hair, distributing evenly and leaving it on for 5 to 10 minutes.

3. Try rinsing your hair with cool temperature water for the final rinse

If you think that water temperature isn’t important, think again because it actually is. If you learn how to use water of different temperatures to your favour, then it may really benefit your hair. Hot water can make your hair easy to break and weaken the hair roots.

COLD WATER final rinse…

It makes your hair shinier and saves you from frizz. Rinsing your hair with cold water helps with closing your cuticle after your hair is washed. Open cuticle is good while shampooing or conditioning your hair but after you’re done, you want to seal the cuticle, so that your hair doesn’t get damaged too easily. If you use cold water for your final rinse then there’s a much better chance that your hair will stay shiny, healthy and frizz-free for a longer period of time.
It makes your scalp cleaner Just like with closing the hair cuticle, cold water also shuts your pores. Both things are really similar actually – you want open pores when washing hair but closed pores after you’ve finished. It’s because closed pores are much less vulnerable than open ones. What it means is that by rinsing your hair with cold water you protect the scalp pores from things like dirt, grease and oil. If your pores are sealed then you are also much less likely to be suffering from hair shedding.
It improves the blood circulation to your scalp When you’re cold your blood moves faster and your capillaries widen to warm you up. That way your scalp and hair roots get all the valuable nutrients they need to stay healthy. Another thing to mention here is that poor blood circulation can contribute to causing hair loss.  You don’t want that, do you?

4. Use hot tools less

Heat styling tools like blowdryers, straighteners, and curling irons can take a toll on your delicate locks. It can dry out your hair, which then leads to tangling. To avoid this, use the tools on low to medium heat settings. You can further avoid damage by applying a heat protectant before heat styling your hair. Dry your hair gently with towel. Instead of wrapping, twisting, or rubbing your hair, gently squeeze it with a microfiber towel to get out the excess moisture. If you need to blow dry your hair, when you dry your hair, put it on the cool setting & hold-distance it away to protect hair. That mysterious COOL Shot Button on your hairdryer helps seal the hair cuticle, setting the final look for long-lasting hold and adds shine. When your hair is about 80 percent dry, switch over to the cool shot. Cool shot is also great to lock in curls and to get more volume at the crown. Hot air expedites the drying process and actually forms whatever style you’re going for–whether it’s sleek and straight or bouncy and curly. Cold air, however, seals the cuticles of your hair, which sets your style in place and adds shine.

5. Oil Your Hair Regularly

Yes, everyone needs oil. Applying oil to the hair is vital in keeping the strands and ends healthy. Also, it is a quick way to deal with frizz and add instant shine.

Curly hair is prone to knotting for two reasons: it is prone to dryness, and the strand’s diameter is inconsistent. To address dryness, you should use products containing nourishing oils. If you are skeptical about using oil in fear that it might make your hair look too greasy, look for specialised formula that will moisturise hair without weighing it down or looking greasy- even those of us with baby fine hair. And there are formulas that won’t make hair look greasy, we love INSIGHT STYLING OIL NON OIL  It’s not an oily oil, but a luxurious moisturising oil that won’t weigh your hair down, which can be applied to wet or dry hair, adds Volume, Elasticity & Eliminates Frizz.

6. Care for your hair when you sleep

While cotton is a popular choice for bedding, hair can catch on cotton pillow cases as you sleep, and this can create knots. Instead, look for a polished cotton pillow case, or a smooth fabric such as silk. Dry your hair before bed. Wet hair is more fragile and elastic, and thus more prone to breaking as it rubs against your pillow. Don’t sleep with wet hair! Brush or comb your hair gently before bed. After your hair is dry or mostly dry, comb gently from roots to ends to distribute natural oils from your scalp into the ends of your hair. This will protect your hair by restoring oils washed away by shampoo, as well as removing tangles that may worsen as you sleep. Cover your hair with a scarf or headwrap to reduce tangles and frizz caused by motion during sleep. This will prevent breakage and maintain hair texture. Tie up long hair with a soft fabric scrunchie. You may want to tie your hair up before bed, either to prepare it for wrapping or to preserve or create waves. Never use elastic bands, as these can pull on and break your hair. Tie hair loosely with a fabric scrunchie instead.

7. Choose the right products for your Hair type

We all invest a good amount of time and money in caring for our hair and let’s face it—a good hair day can totally make our day. In order to make the most out of your hair care products and preventing your hair from tangling, you need to focus on finding the right Shampoo and Conditioner that are rich in natural ingredients for your hair type. For women with naturally fine hair, a moisturising Shampoo & Conditioner is recommended for nourishing your hair strands. Every hair type is unique. There is an important reason why you must identify your hair type – to help you pick the right shampoo or hair care product specially formulated for that hair type. The difference lies not just in hair length or thickness as several factors can come into play. When it comes to picking the right Shampoo & Conditioner, you will find there are different formulations not just for hair type, but also for the different hair concerns. As such, you can find a Shampoo & Conditioner according to the level of damage or type of hair concern. INSIGHT Professional has an extensive range of Shampoo / Conditioner formulations to match your hair care needs, to help you create your own daily ritual of beauty and wellness.

Sulfates in Shampoo: Should You Avoid Them?

Sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) and Sodium laureth sulfates (SLES) are ingredients commonly used in producing shampoo, soaps, detergents, toothpaste and a whole lot of personal care products.

SLS and SLES are found in high concentrations in industrial products, including engine degreasers, floor cleaners, and car wash products and used in lower concentrations in household and personal care products such as cleaning products, toothpastes, shampoos, and shaving foams.

The foaming action means that a person can spread the shampoo over a greater area of their head. It may also help any active ingredients in the shampoo work deeper into the hair to remove dirt and excess oil. Of course, this may also mean that the person uses less shampoo. Sodium laurel surfactant, which is a chemical that breaks down surface tension. The result? More effective cleaning and lots of big bubbles. SLS is cheap to produce, and it creates the type of lather that people have been conditioned to think means “clean,” so it’s a staple of conventional personal care. It’s also a staple in industrial cleaning products, so if you have an engine that needs to be degreased it can do that too.

The most common sulfates found in store-bought shampoos include sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium laureth sulfate, and ammonium laureth sulfate. Other products may contain slight variations of these compounds, as well. These are not true sulfates, but they carry out the same role.

Going Going Blonde…Here’s our top tips to achieve healthy blonde locks!

When we see our favourite celebs go brunette to blonde in the blink of an eye it’s easy to get swept up in the idea of having lighter locks in a heart beat, but sometimes it’s not that easy. Let’s quickly talk about the top 4 things you should know before going blonde…So, you’re thinking of going blonde? What shade of blonde? Light blonde, dark blonde, ash blonde, platinum, golden, silver, creamy, buttery, caramel, strawberry or balayage…it’s like a buffet! But with so many choices, dyeing your hair blonde isn’t quite as simple as it sounds. We share with you the top 4 things you need to know before picking up the peroxide. When it comes to going blonde it usually involves dramatic highlighting to the hair as well an up-keep and maintenance schedule that is pretty demanding… we are talking weekly treatments and possibly monthly salon appointments.

  • SAY NO TO DIY

At home box dye kits are good for reviving dull hair or to go a shade or two lighter (or darker) but when it comes to changing the genetic colour of your hair, leave it to the experts.
DIY kits can do some serious damage to your hair so its best to make sure you visit your local INSIGHT salon to help you create a plan of attack to get you to the perfect blonde! Now depending on what your natural hair colour is, what type of hair you have, what shade of blonde you want, and whether you’ve dyed your hair previously or not, will all determine the method needed to bleach your hair, and how your colourist will achieve it. There are so many things to consider for a successful bleach job. It’s both science and an art form!

INSIGHT offers INCOLOR, a high quality dye system, with a low ammonia content, highly hydrating and protective. Guarantees intense colours and long-life reflections, while protecting the hair fibre. Hydra-Color® is an innovative blend of natural esters 55 (Lauryl Lactate, Octyldodecyl Lactate, Tristearyl Citrate), derived from Lactic and Citric Acids, with a protective, but above all moisturising, action. During the colouring process, our Hydra Color formula has an unique reaction that unlocks a new level of hydration and colour intensity.

  • IT’S A PROCESS

Dramatically changing the colour of your hair can do some major damage to it, particularly if you’re going from dark brown to light blonde. How much damage depends on the current condition of your hair (which is why it is so important to have your colour done in salon). But don’t fret! Here at INSIGHT PROFESSIONAL, we use the ground breaking INCOLOR / HYDRA-COLOR® SYSTEM which goes hand-in-hand when it comes to blondes and highlights. INCOLOR is a professional formula with hydra colour blend, which contains a high percentage of natural derived ingredients. On average, more than 90% of the total formula is composed of raw materials of natural origin. Hydrating repairing masks, oil treatments, and deep conditioners are also highly recommended after colouring hair. Speeding up the lightening process will put your hair at risk of breakage and split ends. Big changes need time and patience. Depending on the look you are after, your stylist will discuss the highlighting technique best suited to you as well as a toner.

  • CONSIDER THE MAINTENANCE

Dyed blonde hair requires an extra dose of care and conditioning. Well once you go blonde your hair won’t be the same. Not only have you altered the colour of your hair but also the structural bonds, decreasing elasticity and the ability to absorb moisture. These changes will make your hair vulnerable, which means blonde hair needs more TLC. Expect to add 30 minutes to your morning routine, thanks to the additional conditioning and styling required. In terms of products, no doubt you will need a moisturising shampoo and conditioner, one that also combats brassiness. AFTER THE COLORING SERVICE, THE HAIR NEEDS TO RECEIVE A SPECIFIC TREATMENT TO RESTORE THE NATURAL PH OF THE HAIR AND TO HELP CLOSE THE SCALES ON HAIR’S CUTICLE. Our POST CHEMISTRY products help to maintain a long-lasting beautiful colour, ensuring the protection and health of the hair. If your blonde or grey hair turns yellow, this can happen because of the weather conditions and pollution, which penetrate into the hair making it dull. For this reason you will need to try INCOLOR Anti-yellow Shampoo, to remove the undesired yellow reflections typical of grey or blonde hair (both natural and bleached). The Anti-Yellow Shampoo removes any undesired yellow and golden reflections all while enhancing and brightening grey and bleached hair, neutralising the tendency to yellow, and leaving the hair soft and brighter. In terms of salon visits, depending on how fast your hair grows, you will be making appointments every 4-6 weeks for touch-ups. This is where Balayage (the gradual faded look from the roots to ends) can alleviate your time in the salon, however does require similar maintenance to keep locks healthy and moisturised.

  • HYDRATION IS ESSENTIAL

There’s no denying it, bleaching and colouring does damage your hair structure. Colored hair is high maintenance, but looking after your locks will pay off. Choose special deep conditioning care products with moisturising nutrients. Leave-in conditioner is the answer, and super easy to add to your home haircare routine. Our tip: apply a hair treatment twice a week. To get the most out of the regenerative treatment, wrap your hair up in a damp warm towel and let the mask do its job for 30 minutes to BRIGHTEN, ENHANCE AND REVITALISE COLOURED HAIR. Thanks to INSIGHT COLORED HAIR  its formula’s are rich of extracts and natural oils, to protect the hair while preserving the brightness of colour, ensuring it lasts longer and is more resistant to fading.

Hair that’s lost its ability to absorb moisture is not healthy, and unhealthy hair is impossible to style. Sadly, most of us tend to use the flat iron to smooth the frizz for a slick finish, making the problem worse. Remember avoid heat, keep hair from going brittle with a daily dose of hydration, and always use a good protein rich treatment like our INSIGHT Damaged Hair range to help protect the hair and restore its natural hydration!

What Are You Really Putting in your Hair! Why Synthetic Colourants Aren’t Worth It!

Take a look at some of the mainstream personal care products you will find in store shelves, you will see a rainbow of lovely shades. Who doesn’t like something colourful? I know I do. Colour makes things look beautiful and companies know this, they also have an effect on how we feel and perceive the things around us. Unfortunately, most manufacturers rely on artificial dyes to fill their products with colour. Here’s everything you need to know about artificial colourants, and why they’re worth avoiding wherever you can.

What are Artificial Colours?

Artificial Colours and dyes are chemical additives that change the shade of soaps, lotions, shower gels, face creams, shampoos, styling products and you are more likely to come into contact with Artificial Colours frequently. These dyes are often made up from a variety of synthetic chemicals. It takes up to 25 synthetic chemicals to create one artificial die. If a product is purple, it could potentially have 50 or more chemicals just in the colour. The problem is that synthetic colours are made from coal tar or petroleum which can be contaminated with heavy metals such as lead and arsenic. When absorbed on our skin/scalp, Artificial Colours can increase the risk of irritation, blocked pores, breakouts and sensitivity, but some Artificial Colours are more harmful than others.

What are the Impacts of Artificial Colours?

These toxins and chemicals increase your risk of skin sensitivity and irritation, and are known for blocking pores and increasing the risk of acne breakouts. If synthetic dyes are included in products that you leave on your skin, such as moisturisers and hair masks, they may be absorbed into your body where they can cause additional damage. Do these chemicals cause cancer when applied topically? So far, we’re not sure, as we don’t have many studies on the subject. Most commercial manufacturers of cosmetics & hair don’t believe we are in danger because artificial colours make up only a small amount of cosmetic formulations, but what researchers haven’t determined is the risk of long-term use of synthetic colourants in your products. While awaiting for a response that dispels all doubt, our laboratories at INSIGHT formulate according to precise ecological & health conscious parameters & decided to formulate our products without synthetic dyes, along with many other nasty chemicals that have been avoided.

How to avoid Artificial Colours?

Artificial Colours and dyes are everywhere and it may seem near impossible to avoid these chemicals in your daily products, but you can do it. In fact, once you start shopping for more natural brands, you’ll find it easier and easier as you go.

  • Keep an eye out for artificial colourants when purchasing mainstream personal care products & read labels carefully to avoid chemical colours like Blue 1, Green 3, FD&C Yellow 6, etc.
  • Shop for natural and organic products that have more ingredients you can actually pronounce.
  • If you really want colour, look for products coloured with natural dyes made from organic plants and herbs.

Synthetic colourants may make a product look better, but they don’t make them better for you. Artificial Dyes, at best may irritate your skin and cause your children to be hyperactive, at worst they can risk your health irretrievably.

Why Hair Loss Happens & How to Regrow Hair Naturally

Nobody likes losing their hair, but most of us will experience some degree of hair loss during the course of our lives. Here is your basic guide to hair loss, diagnostic criteria and treatment options.

The three most common reasons you lose your hair are stress, hormone imbalances (particularly testosterone & thyroid hormones and chronic inflammation). When our bodies are under stress or low on calories, protein, or nutrients our hair folicles stay in the resting, rather than growing phases.
Hair may fall out while washing or brushing or even fall out with no encouragement at all. This disorder is called Telogen effluvium and the good news is that you can regrow your hair without drugs. Read below to find out how.

Stress & Hair Loss

Stress, exhaustion, anxiety and depression are a huge component of hair loss. Constantly high cortisol, your body’s stress hormones, causes a drop in hyaluronic acid and proteoglycan synthesis. These two compounds protect your hair follicles and help them grow; when they’re depleted, your hair begins falling out and it doesn’t grow back.

Thyroid Hormones

A thyroid imbalance is a common issue. Your thyroid hormones bind directly to receptors in the base of your hair follicles. Thyroid hormones regulate hair stem cells too, meaning they can start and stop new hair growth.

Hormone Imbalances can cause Hair Loss

Testosterone also drive hair loss. Enzymes in your hair follicles convert testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), and high DHT in your hair follicles cause them to fall out. We recommend using a treatment for the hair bulb, try INSIGHT LOSS CONTROL Fortifying Treatment to help stimulate the microcirculation to fortify the hair fibres, to prevent hair loss.

Postpartum hair loss commonly starts at around three months after birth. The hair loss can seem more extreme if your hair grew much more than normal during pregnancy, or if you have long hair. Most women all return to their usual hair growth cycle within 12 months by eating foods that are high in Vitamin D & Vitamin C and with the help of organic hair products.

Chronic Inflammation can cause Hair Loss

A large percentage of people who seek hair loss treatment have signs of chronic inflammation, and by stopping the inflammation often reverses hair loss.

How to Regrow Hair without drugs

Avoid drugs that can regrow hair, instead you’re better of addressing the underlying cause of hair loss and treat it naturally.

1.) Manage stress, by trying to calm your nervous system. Try simple natural meditation techniques to promote high level health and wellness, get more sleep & exercise.

2.) Balance your thyroid hormones, by easing stress to help hormones stay in balance. Eat well and have a nutritional diet which emphasises healthy fats.

3.) Decrease inflammation with nutrients of colourful rich veggies and avoid sugar and simple carbs.

4.) Prepare the skin for the subsequent treatments with two functions: skin renewal and purifying action. We recommend using INSIGHT REBALANCING Scalp Exfoliating Cream, which aims to clear the scalp from dead cells, residues of technical products and impurities, reactivating the microcirculation and prepares the skin for treatment. If you suspect to have dandruff, we also recommend treating your hair with INSIGHT ANTI DANDRUFF Purifying Treatment, to counteract the dandruff and soothe the scalp irritations to prepare the scalp for further treatments.

5.) Introduce a healthy daily routine, starting with organic hair care products, try INSIGHT LOSS CONTROL Shampoo & Fortifying Treatment packed with organic extracts, including horse chestnut to help strengthen and condition the hair growth, specially formulated for people with weak hair, suffering from hair loss & thinning hair.

FANTASY COLOURS – Tips for Maintaining Bright Hair Colour!

Pack a Pigment Punch with our NEW fastest colours

Dying your hair is always fun and it’s also a great way to kickoff the new year! Pack a pigment punch with our NEW fastest colours. INCOLOR Enhancing Direct Pigments, a new, easy-to-apply formulation in gel form to place accents on hair tips, fringes or face-frame sections; create exciting ombre and highlighting effects. Fastasy colours are the ultimate tool for creative colour.

Good Color Starts with Healthy Hair

Unhealthy, damaged hair will not hold colour well. You may make it from black hair to pink in a week by bleaching your hair twice a day but that pink won’t hold because your hair is in rough shape. Be patient with your journey from dark hair to coloured hair. Make sure to nurture your hair. Hair masks and repair products are your best friends! Try INSIGHT DAILY USE  Energizing Mask & INSIGHT DRY HAIR Nourishing Mask.

Rinse Hair with Cool Water

This is actually my best tip. Warm water opens the hair cuticle allowing the colour to escape. I’m not saying you need to wash your hair with ice cold water, but in reality, the colder the better. Wash and rinse hair in cold water, toss it up in a towel then crank that water up for the rest of the shower.

Cold water also helps reduce bleeding if you have more than one color, otherwise your hair colour will just turn into a mess similar to when you mix different colors of paint together.

While we’re on the subject of water, it should be noted that swimming in chlorinated water is awful for your hair color. (But hey, if you want to fade your hair, go for it!) For good measures, just keep your hair dry as much as possible and avoid hot water!

Avoid Shampoos with Sulfates & choose SLS/SLES FREE

Sulfates (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate & Sodium Laureth Sulfate) and alcohol-based products are two huge things that will fade any hair colour. Sulfate free shampoos can be kind of tricky to find sometimes, but they’re definitely worth switching to. INSIGHT professional has a wide selection of hair shampoos & conditioners which are SLS/SLES FREE. Instead INSIGHT uses gentler cleansing agent, derived from coconut, using a more dermo-compatible cleansing product means protecting scalp health and balance over time.

Even with sulfate free shampoo, you should still try to cut back on shampoo use. Shampoo strips your hair of its natural oils, as well as the colour. If you’re lucky enough to not have super greasy hair, skip washing every other day and use a protective MASK on your off days. Our choice is INSIGHT COLORED HAIR Protective Mask which protects hair colour, & deeply nourishes the hair, leaving it softer & healthier than ever.

Avoid Prolonged Exposure to the Sun

Just like your skin, the sun isn’t necessarily good for your hair color. Try wearing a hat if you’ll be spending a long time in the sun. There are also products to protect the hair from weather conditions, sun rays, chlorine & sea salt. We recommend trying INSIGHT ANTIOXIDANT rejuvenating MASK & INSIGHT ANTIOXIDANT protective hairspray.

All of the above should help you maintain your hair colour & enjoy your vivid pigments for fashion results on the fly!
